This property is situated on a stunning waterfront hillside - each year we design containers of various sizes to add life to the brick patio, blending the human spaces with the outer landscape. The patio is quite shady, so we use a mix of shade-tolerant perennials along with some ferns and tropical species for their colorful lush foliage. Columbine and heuchera flowers dance in front of the water, and we love the way that pops of yellow-green pick up the dappled sun hitting the foliage along the hillside.
